Strategic Development

For nonprofit leaders, foundations & boards

Optimize your revenue. Open new markets. Build a board that leads.

Most mission-driven organizations have built something genuinely valuable — deep expertise, a trusted name, relationships no one could replicate. I help nonprofit leaders, foundations, and boards turn that into stronger, more sustainable revenue: making the most of what you have, opening new markets, and building a board that drives growth instead of just governing it.

Elizabeth Wilson Clark

For three decades, Elizabeth has advised nonprofits, foundations, and philanthropies — including some of the world’s best-known higher-education institutions — on optimizing revenue, opening new markets, and building boards strategically for growth and sustainability. She began by writing policy for Governor L. Douglas Wilder’s history-making campaign, then spent seventeen years as Chief Strategy Officer of the country’s leading higher-education advancement firm. At Duke University, she built a private platform connecting newly admitted students with newly minted graduates — raising yield in Duke’s toughest-to-yield group by three points in a single year. She has secured high six-figure grants and led development and board activation for organizations in conservation, youth, education, and animal welfare. Today she is board president of The Strength Initiative, advancing women’s health and community wellness.
